Colonia del Sacramento

A weekend trip to Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay. The first getaway with the baby.

This wasn't my first time in Colonia, but it's the first time I learned the real story behind the old entrance.

It's not the original. It was renovated in modern times.
Also, the whole street behind the wall used to be part of a thicker wall, built like that to prevent cannon fire.

A simple asado at night. There’s something magical in watching wood burn.
